Kovar Enterprises

This is a French walnut Library table completely hand built and  can be found in the Linneaus Room, penthouse of the Hunt Botanical library, Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, PA..  It is a stylized reproduction of an original family table in the Hunt home in Pittsburgh .  It was commissioned by the late Alfred M. Hunt in honor of his mother.  I bought the 24” French Walnut log from an importer in New Jersey, had it sawn, then transported it to Pennsylvania where I had it kiln dried and surfaced.  I then transported it to my shop and hand made the entire table and bench, including the wooden pegs which hold it together.  There is no metal in the entire table.
